The saying "long
story short" refers to a short
version of, or simply the conclusion
of, or an involved story. If you hear someone say that “make a long story
short”, they simply means to come to the point - leave out details.
For Example:
“Anyway, make long story short, I totally
screwed up today” – The Boss says
